“Synpro Safety” System
  • “Synpro Safety” system is a synchronized protection system that ensures that passengers are safe in the Corsa.
  • The system consists of numerous active and passive safety systems that work in conjunction with each other.
Benefits
  • Safety for passengers.
 
Deadlocking
  • A unique feature found only on Opel cars.
  • Deadlocking is a locking system wherein after central locking the car, the car can be further locked.
  • When deadlocked even if the door tabs are tried to be pulled up, the doors will not open.
Benefits
  • The car can be very secure as even if a glass is broken or removed, (as happens in other cars) the doors still cannot be opened.
 
Auto Unlocking Crash Sensor
  • A sensor is located on the car which incase of a severe impact, automatically unlocks the doors.
  • After the doors are unlocked this way, they do not lock back even if some part of the body pushes the tab down.
  • The fuel supply is also cut off thus preventing chances of a fire.
Benefits
  • Incase of an impact the doors unlock automatically so that exit or retrieval is easy and quick.
 
Anti Submarining Seats
  • The front seats of the Corsa have a raised front lip. This lip is raised by the raised foam of the seats and by a metal ramp inside the seats.
Benefits
  • Incase of an impact the passengers do not slide under the seatbelt and risk injury.
 
Two Stage Bumpers
  • Another unique feature, two stage bumpers are bumpers where there exists two portions in the bumper construction.
  • The first stage is the bumper outer body and the second stage is a metal reinforcement behind.
Benefits
  • These bumpers are durable and can withstand damage in bumper to bumper traffic, upto an impact speed of about 7 kmph.
 
Galvanized Sheet Metal
  • Galvanization is a process wherein the metal is given a coating of zinc during production.
  • Zinc forms a protective coating for the metal and prevents it from rusting.
  • Most cars do not feature this.
Benefits
  • The metal stays rust free for a long time.
 
Pollen Filter
  • A class unique feature, the pollen filter is an advanced filtration system that can filter out dust and impurities upto the size of a pollen grain.
Benefits
  • Dust and pollen grain (a big worry for asthma) are left out of the interiors giving customers a pollution free inside.
